Wondering what makes Baby Steps Fair so amazing?  Here are just a few reasons:

• We have an amazing Breastfeeding and Diaper Change room sponsored by EcoParent!  Women and men alike can avail themselves of our change tables for their infants with complimentary baby wipes and hand sanitizer.  Breastfeeding moms can continue on to the private area for breastfeeding, equipped with a fireplace and comfy chairs to nourish your little ones in!  Also, we know how thirsty you get, so take advantage of our water station before you head back out to finish your shopping at the Fair!
•  We have the amazing services of Emergency Rescue Academy Inc. who are providing the Fair with on-site paramedics, should they be needed.  At Baby Steps Fair you can really feel safe!  Make sure you check out their presentation with Q & A for all of your infant first aid inquiries.
• We have planned our Fair to include 10 foot aisles to accommodate strollers and wandering children!  Also, let your children play in our play area to burn off some steam before you go home!  They will have a blast and you can have a rest while they play (located near the stage).
• Sign up for our Baby Derby and see if your baby is the crawling champion!  Win prizes for the little ones and enjoy the show!  Also, be sure to enter our raffle at the front door to win great prizes donated by our vendors!  Also, find out who won the cutest and grumpiest baby contest from our Facebook contest!

Baby Steps Fair is hosting Cute Baby AND a Grumpy Baby contest on our Facebook page!  Anyone can put a single picture in each of the contests.  All you have to do is send your picture to info@babystepsfair.com and we will add it to the contest!  Winners will be announced the day of the Fair!

To vote all you have to do is like our Facebook page then like the pictures of the cutest and grumpiest babies!  Remember, your vote does not count if you have not liked the group itself!  Voting ends March 10th, at midnight!

In case you haven’t heard of them, they are an innovative company who offers an alternative to giving flowers to new mothers.  Their company allows people to send pre-made meals to new parents.  I was amazed that they are out there!  That would have been so helpful when my daughter was born!

So many parents resort to ordering take-out or the quick peanut butter sandwich over the sink while caring for a new infant.  In reality, this is unhealthy for the new parents – resulting in low energy and low nutrition – and it is equally unhealthy for the baby who is breastfeeding!  This innovative service for new parents could go a long way to helping parents and breast-feeding mothers maintain a healthy body and mind throughout this crazy beginning period of parenting.

Life with Kids is a new and amazing resource for parents in the Halton Region.  It’s a website developed by some Mums who were tired of endless web searches to find things to do with and for their children. Lifewithkids.ca is your one stop source to find activity groups, child friendly businesses and restaurants, advice from other parents and things like where to get your child’s haircut.  We look forward to learning everything we can from them about the amazing resources available to all of us.

Due to overwhelming response from our vendors, we have decided to make a change!  Baby Steps Fair will now be a one day event jam-packed with contests, raffles and presentations!  On March 11th, 2012, come to the Oakville Conference Centre from 10 am to 5 pm and find everything you need to care for that new little bundle!  For those guests that show up first thing in the morning, we will be handing out Swag Bags with goodies for the whole family!  Enter your baby into our Cute Baby Contest or if you have a great picture of a Grumpy Baby, we have a contest for that too!  Check our Facebook and Twitter often for updates on contests and raffles!
